Portfolio Reviews / Mentoring:

I am currently a part time Senior Lecturer at Leeds Arts University for the BA (Hons) Fashion Photography course and I have taught for over ten years on BA (Hons) Photography degree courses at a selection of Universities within the UK, including Manchester School of Art, Leeds Arts University and University of Huddersfield. I am a photographic artist, exhibiting, self-publishing and producing editorial photography alongside working as a freelance photographer.

I founded and edited Forme Journal publishing photographic work by established and emerging international practitioners including Clare Strand, Nico Krijno, Polly Brown, David Brandon Geeting and Sarah Eyre. As an academic and artist I conduct research and my book chapter ‘Office Exercises’ is available within the new Palgrave Macmillan title, Wearable Objects & Curative Things’.

I am now offering portfolio reviews and mentoring sessions, taking place online, for anyone who is looking for some advice with their photographic practice. My specialism is within editing and sequencing projects for publications, constructed and narrative based photography as well as fashion, portraiture and editorial. I also have a a decade’s worth of experience working with people on a vast range of projects including documentary, landscape and more. If you would like a one-off portfolio review, a series of sessions to discuss a project or differing bodies of work, advice on how to develop your personal photographic practice or how to move into a differing direction with your work then do just get in touch with me and we can go from there. An email with some information as to what you would like to concentrate on would be perfect as then I can work out whether I would be a good fit for your work. If you are within two years of graduating from a BA degree programme I will be able to offer a 20% discount for your first three mentor sessions.
